Niet ('neet') is a 10 year old Arab stallion we adopted in the fall of 2011. Although good tempered, he never had a job, so we knew training would be a little challenging.
Niet completed ground work in early 2012. He's a bright boy and caught on quickly to what was needed from him.

In mid-March, he was started in our marathon carriage and has now been out on the road and through the fields.

'Quiz' is an older (17-18 yr) registered Arab mare we adopted. She has foaled twice, but never really had a job. We started her driving in the fall of 2011.
By Christmas time, Quiz was driving well enough to deliver cookies to the neighbors:
Soon after she was out on the road for ride and drives, very well behaved and energetic.
'Poppy' is a Saddlebred/Morgan cross filly born in June 2010. She was foster homed on our farm in 2011 and evaluated as a potential combined driving horse. She is off being started under saddle now, but she will come back for driving training in the summer of 2012. She will eventually be available for adoption as a started riding and driving horse. Poppy is bright and learns quickly, and is very affectionate with people she knows. She will be a fast paced horse for someone, as she's very light on her feet!
Poppy is a handsome gal, all black with a small white star. She is extremely gregarious, always the first one to greet you at the gate in case you are giving out carrots or scratching itches.
We expect to start training our standard spotted donkey 'Muffin' to drive in Summer 2012, after her pending foal has grown a bit. We just purchased a Meadowbrook cart to fit her and are looking for a pony-size harness.

We are available on a limited basis to evaluate potential driving horses and train them to drive up to intermediate levels. Our interest is sane, safe, fun driving horses, so not all breeds, individual horses, or situations are for us. If we cannot help you, we will happily refer you to trainers or organizations to help you reach your goals.
Please contact us with any questions on how we might help you with training.
