Our primary focus is having fun with our horses, but we do have an active show calendar. We believe that showing your horses forces you to constantly improve your abilities and theirs. It also gets you out to meet new people and allows your horses to see and experience things they might otherwise not.
We expect to be at the following events this year:
Other dates may be added as announced.
Following are results for this year's events.

We used the three-day Morgan-Arab show at Quentin Riding Club as an extended schooling event for Arab stallion Nietzsche, trailering up each day for a few classes.
Although a little excited his first day, Niet managed to make it through his first cones course without much attention from other Arab owners. The second day he settled considerably and went on to drive nicely in other classes, listening well enough to drive a Reinsmanship class entirely one handed.

The Morgan and Arab crowd apparently prefer little wire wheeled jog carts with unpolished hardware and informal attire, so we were a bit out of place in our new road cart (as was fellow pleasure driver Lori Homer). Nonetheless, it was was another good learning experience for Niet, with lots of exposure to other horses and 'big show' excitement.

We had Nietzsche out at his first public event (in his entire life!) at this small schooling show in Maryland. Despite some glitches, his behavior is steadily improving, which is what 'schooling' is all about.
